Description

Discussion group and online presence for Marty McGuirk's Southern New England Railway – an HO scale proto-freelanced railroad set in the 1950s based on the real Central Vermont Ry. Subscribe for updates and progress reports on the SNE, as well as information on model railroad design and construction. Locomotives, rolling stock and structure modeling are also discussed.

Information on upcoming open houses and operating sessions will also be posted here.

Files and photo sections will be used to provide a look at current modeling projects as well as earlier versions of HO scale New England railroad. And, since the Central Vermont is my favorite railroad, there's a fair amount of prototype CV information discussed here as well!

Re: Tree-covered hillside
Let's make it "Gull Grey and viewing the haze grey underway from on high." I'm not "looking down" on anything except my attempts to get some traction.... Pete

Re: Tree-covered hillside
Agreed! Pete "haze grey(and white) and looking down upon the underway, which appeared very small" long before being in Michigan

Re: Tree-covered hillside
Bernie likes painting backdrops - so I let him. There's no backdrop behind the hill - the backdrop stops just as the peninsula starts to flare out. It's pretty
