A society, which in accordance with maritime heritage guidelines, will carry out the refurbishment and conservation of the historic Lighthouse supply ship MV Cape Don as a part of the maritime history of Australia.

The Society will maintain the MV Cape Don, and subject to conservation requirements, operate the vessel for fund-raising purposes, for research, community assitance expeditions, and for the benefit of all members.
