DOVER SKATING CENTER:

Home School Roller skate - Friday, October 7, 12:30 - 2:30, Admissions $3.50

includes skates, (inline/premium rental are extra - $3.25 + $3.50 admission). Has a concession stand. Keep in mind with Columbus Day being Monday, some local schools may be off. I don’t see that being a huge problem, just want to put it out there.

Bowling at Milford Lanes:

Wednesday October 5, 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

$2.50 per game/includes shoes

THE CENTRE AT DELAWARE STATE FAIR ICE RINK

This is the schedule I saw on the website. Its open to the public, I am going to call them tomorrow and double check that we don’t have our own slot, but would need to use the public times. If anyone has info regarding that, please let me know. Rental of skates are free with the admission price. The below schedule is every week, so if you want to skate, you have more options to go.

Explore the park’s forests by taking measurements and surveys of some of our native trees. Learn about deforestation and the impact it has on the environment.

Owl Prowl

Hike the woods looking for and calling for the silent hunters of the night. The three species of owls that live in the park will be discussed.

I hope everyone is excited for the holiday season; we are here at Killens Pond, and we are open 365days a year!

The winter Eco-Explorer homeschool classes are listed online and on the public program pdf. Please call to pre-register for classes. If we do not receive enough participants for the 12+ age group, we may end up canceling.

If you are interested in a 2-5 year old class, concurrent with the 6-11 year old class, please let me know. If we receive enough interest, we may be able to start that in March.

I wanted to let you know about our amazing winter day camps and public programs for December through February. Ø One brand new program I’d like to highlight is the YOGA CLASS we will be holding at the Nature Center! There is no better way to kick off a healthy New Year than with YOGA in a beautiful, peaceful setting! We have an amazing local instructor: Melanie E-RYT500 from be.Yoga Studio. She is amazing with students of all levels, beginners to advanced!

The Details: Saturdays January 7, 14, 21, and 28. 10am-11:15 at the Nature Center: $15 per class or $50 for the series!! You can’t beat that price! Pre-registration/payment is required: bring a mat or let us know in advance if you need to borrow one. Call 302-284-4299 for more information!
