SPIRITUAL FREEDOM SATSANG (SFS), was founded on November 26, 1996, by Michael Turner, in order to offer an open, ecumenical and contemporary understanding of the ancient path of Light and Sound meditation. To honor both our eastern roots and western traditions, Spiritual Freedom Satsang's name combines both eastern and western elements to help convey the essential unity that the Inner Light and Sound of God infuses in all religions and spiritual paths.

This Spiritual Path is based upon uniting our inner attention with the Creative Essence of God (known in various holy scriptures as the Word, Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost, Ruach, Logos, Shabda, Naam, Bani, Kalma, Kalam i Ilahi and Ek). Through the union of the soul's attention with this Wave of Life, we are gradually lifted above body consciousness into increasingly greater degrees of spiritual awakening, while maintaining a happy, balanced, responsible life.

What is presented is not a fixed dogmatic system but, rather, a variety of methods for inner exploration and spiritual evolution. Using the laboratory of the self, one can experiment with these spiritual exercises and personally experience self-realization, God-realization and spiritual freedom in this lifetime. Baraka Bashad!
