Czesc! SF Polskis is a social group to meet men and women in their 20s-40s who are Polish or have interest in Poland and who live in the San Francisco Bay area. The purpose of this group is to help members find friends and acquaintances through social, recreational, and cultural events and also to share information about other events in the local Polish community. SF Polskis usually meet several times a month for social events, dances, hikes, volleyball, and more. We usually try to meet on the 1st or 2nd Fridays of the month in the evenings. You can participate on the following conditions:

* All NEW members MUST introduce themselves to the group before being allowed to send messages. We'd like to know more about you - where are you from, where you live, your connection to the Polish culture, your hobbies, professional background, or whatever you feel like telling us. Please sign your real name to your message -we want to get to know the real you!

* Messages can be written in Polish or English.

* This is NOT an on line discussion group. Jokes, links to other news and pages, and spamming are all NOT ALLOWED on SFPolskis. For this purpose please join other services such as http://groups.yahoo.com/group/SFPolskis-Forum. Multiple responses to calls for help, communicaton about events are OK since the information might be generally useful. But long email threads concerning political disucssions between a couple of people or simple chatting should be taken to an alternate discussion sites.

* Be POLITE and RESPECTFUL toward other subscribers, no sexual, racist commentaries are allowed.

* Do not post other people's COPYRIGHTED materials

* Despite all the restrictions and rules, try to have FUN, try to meet other members by organizing and attending meetings! :-)
