Description

This site archives Marijuana detentions, citations, and arrests in San Francisco, per precinct, date, and short recounts of incidents.

We monitor violations of the
"SF Marijuana Lowest Priority Ordinance",
introduced by former Sup. Tom Ammiano.
and passed by the full Board of Supervisors
8 against 3
in 2006.
By archiving all reports written in SFPD Precincts newletters on this site under "Files" per precinct on a daily basis.

It is not illegal to smoke Marijuana in public places or in a private dwelling in SF, whether one possesses a MJ Card,
(One may grow up to 15 plants at home in order to self medicate).
or is an Adult (formerlly called "recreational:) user.

Do not smoke MJ in a parked car :
if a passenger or driver has keys to the ignition, there is presumption that the car may be soon driven by someone under the influence, through smoking or "contact high".

Arrest is only justified when other misdemeanor or felony charges are brought against a subject,
(beside concurrent possession or use of MJ),

such as:

* Selling or giving MJ to a minor,
* Juvenile use of MJ,
* Marijuana packaged for sale,
* Parole or probation violations,
* Violation of a Restraining order, etc.

The SF Marijuana Offenses Oversight Committee (MOOC) has produced
MJ Community Complaint Forms, available at:

HOPENET, 9th street

Axis of Love, 1260 Mission Street

and BEDPC (Black & Brown Equirable Drug Policies Collective)
2940 16th St., suite #209, SF 94110

and other community based and health organizations.

Report violations of the Lowest Priority Marijuana Offenses Ordinance,
by calling BEDPC 24-HR Bilingual Spanish Hotline
(415) 595-8251

We also help you with Pro Bono Atty referrals

Complaints are compiled by MOOC , processed to the San Francisco Office of Citizens Complaints and may be brought up in front of the SF Police Commission during public comments.

MOOC is working on a Mandatory Marijuana Police Report
