Dear Friends,

One of the great pleasures of my work is the opportunity to see amazing speakers share their knowledge and perspective. Last year I had the privilege of making charts for two truly exceptional women, Oprah Winfrey and Lynne Twist, and I have attached the charts below, along with a few brief comments about their talks. As I reflected on their stories, I saw that both of their paths were marked by an intention to serve, a profound inner listening to their own guidance and a tremendous commitment to bring forth their dreams and visions to make a positive difference in the world. These are qualities I find exciting and inspiring, so I am sharing these charts as my way of wishing you all the best for your goals and aspirations for 2012. May your year be inspiring and fulfilling!
Best regards,
Paula

Oprah Winfrey
Author and Television Producer
Founder of the Oprah Winfrey Network
Oprah talked about how difficulty can be the open door for the next opportunity, and how a demotion in her job actually led directly to her first chance to be a talk show host. She described her career as a calling and her message was “you come from something greater than you are, and when you center in the stillness of that, anything is possible.” She was asked, “What is the one thing you are most proud of?” She thought for a moment and then talked about staying true to herself, through all the different phases of her success, of always listening and following the voice of her guidance as best as she could.

Lynne Twist
Author of The Soul of Money
Co-founder, the Soul of Money Institute and The Pachamama Alliance
Lynn spoke about living a purposeful life, a life governed by her commitments, and not by her personal wants and desires. She spoke of the tremendous gifts that had come in to her life as she has consistently lived this way, from traveling the globe to meeting Mother Theresa. She spoke about gratitude and abundance, and how the source of abundance is the appreciation of ENOUGH – and how what we appreciate appreciates. She told the incredible story of how she was guided to make contact with indigenous peoples in South America and then co- founded the Pachamama Alliance, dedicated to bringing forth an environmentally sustainable, spiritually fulfilling, socially just human presence on this planet. And she invited us all to support FourYearsGo at www.fouryearsgo.org, to make an impact now in “changing the dream” of the modern world.
