SF-Writing is a long standing community of writers of science fiction and other speculative fiction genres. We discuss:

1. The business of being a writer, and issues/questions surrounding publishing original SF, and the SF industry.

2. The process and tools of being a writer, ie. the mechanics and process of writing SF, the habits, and the methods that we use.

3. Basic story development and planning, and everything that goes into character, plot, and setting , with a genre fiction speciality.

4. Genre politics: what other writers are doing, what we're reading, as well as talk about trends and awards in the genre fiction world.

5. SFnal ideas: genre stuff inside of our stories. How we rationalize work and work with science fiction ideas. Possible topics in this area include: FTL drives, Aliens, Wizards and magic, space colonization, world building etc.
