This group has been created to serve as a point of contact and center of communication for researchers of genealogy and members of families identified as having lived in the Southeast Virginia area.

I am focusing mainly on Nansemond County and Isle of Wight County in the Suffolk, Virginia area. Census records not only show information on our own relatives, but also identifies who their neighbors were. Often times information on family members is found in the family Bible or records of neighbors or relatives with different surnames.
