Description

A group to exchange collect recipes for the Specific Carbohydrate Diet.

The Specific Carbohydrate Diet is the diet that has helped 1000s of sufferers of Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease to regain good health and eventually being free of medicines and surgery.

Though the diet in many ways has restricted many of the popular foods ... those who follow this diet have used their ingenuity to create wonderful recipes out of the limited ingredients that can be utilized.

Due also to the unreliability and fear of contaminants of ready made foodstuffs which also greatly restricts eating out ... adherents have had no choice but to learn to cook and become good at converting standard recipes to SCD 'legal' recipes.

If you are on this diet then this is the right place to exchange recipes. You can look in the archives and also in the files section for recipes that have already been collected. There will also be general advise Info about Crohns Colitis, about medicines, collected advise for Newbies Veterans in the files section.

Re: Digest Number 432
My advice is to give up on making a loaf of bread that can be sliced. However, you can get "slices" of bread by making flatbread, that is, pouring the batter
