This is a place for all in the Society of Creative Anachronisms to share and discuss all things relating to scribes and scribal activities including calligraphy, illumination and preparation of scrolls.
This is an attempt to help the new scribe with examples of existing SCA illumination and calligraphy. The files section contains examples of scrolls painted by our members. The links section is constantly being updated and checked for accuracy. Please feel free to share knowledge of this group to your local groups, we cant grow without YOUR input!
We will try to have meetings at events where possible, to meet in person and to discuss techniques and share materials.
If you are able to help contribute and/or help organize meetings, please let us know.
I have been asked what makes this site different from existing groups? The MAIN difference is the archive of members' works. Check the pictures out, then if you have questions ask! Because the creator/painter of the work is a member!
