This is a group setup to allow those interested, to discuss the uses and history of Cannons and Period firearms. As well as a place to discuss the development of safe and more accurate recreations of late-period combat.

Our interest in late period SCA culture and recreation is not a threat to the established norms of the SCA. As any loyal subject, we are pleasantly predisposed towards the monarchy and the institution of monarchy. It is in our best interests as a community to have good and effective leadership.
We are unabashed proponents of rubber band guns. We believe that the increasing use and acceptance of rubber band guns amongst the rapier community will open avenues to greater fun and recreation. Outside of a well-delivered coup de grace with the rapier, there is nothing more satisfying than hearing the “thwump” of a rubber band hit on an opponent in the heat and chaos of battle.
To that end, we hope someday to see a greater reflection of late period re-creation on the melee fields of the SCA. We envision a time when musketeers armed with rubber band guns will square off against other musketeers. We hope for a day when we can enter the melee field with pike formations for the enjoyment of participants and observers alike.
We look to a day when regiments will take to the field, with flags, musketeers, pikemen, and rapier fighters, to engage in wars demanding greater demands on such skills as discipline and tactics.
And we hope to do this well within the established norms of the SCA, side by side with our earlier period friends. Any rumours that late period cavaliers are trying to alter the SCA for the worse are simply untrue.
