So, I just remembered to come here, and see now why I can not balance,

( I just read that I need to save changes before I can go forward so it will
zero back out.)

ok, Done.

I am still not balancing. I know what the amount is, and I know why it is not
balancing, but I can not understand why it isnt balancing. do you know what I
mean??

the amount that is not balanced is the amount of cheques i have written.

So I need to ask some very basic questions, and please excuse me if I sound
absolutely daft. The new forms are unlike the way I was submitting forms last
year. This year my balance does not work out.

ON the Primary account reconciliation, It asks for Balance from bank statement
from end of period. So, the question of the hour is, from January 1? (end of
last period) or from April 30.<<<You are submitting the report for the 1st
quarter of 2012 which runs from 1-1-12 to 3-31-12. You are only reporting
activity done during that time period so you should use the ending bank balance
from 3-31-12.
In addition do NOT report any checks written or deposits made or any other
transactions done after 3-31-12. This goes for not just the primary account
recon page, but all of the pages.  Hope that clears up one problem.>>>

My donations to kingdom, My expenses and my cheques I have paid out are all
adding up to each other, and showing that much out.

When I do it all manually, I balance, My cheque book balances, My bank accounts
balance. My Excel is NOT balancing.

If anyone is able to call me and talk me through each step, I would greatly
appreciate it. I am so frustrated with this. I have pretty much wasted my
month of april trying to figure it out to submit it, and now I have neglected my
family all day trying again to figure out why I am not balancing.

Diane Pepin (ontario) 519 256 3541.

Funny, when i did it with the ending of Aprils, it REALLY didnt balance,
and when i made it from January 1, it balanced better.
I dont get paid enough.lol.

Did you download them from the SCA website, or the files of this group? The
ones in the yahoo group files did not have that error when I looked, but the
ones on the Corporate website are still wrong. I have been sending the
corrected forms to my local group exchequers who are not on this list.

Hi Ghita,

The problem with "Donations to SCA, Inc. Subsidiaries and Other 501(c)(3)
[Nonprofit] Organizations" seems to still be there in the current forms.

Specifically, sheet "INCOME_4", cell J44, reads as
"=EXPENSE_DTL_12b!F56+#REF!F55" in the version of
"SCAFinancialReportv3_MEDIUM_locked.xls" that I just downloaded (around 4
PM EDT today) from the Exchequer section of
http://www.sca.org/docs/library.html

Can you please give me a pointer to the corrected form?

thanks very much, --Tofi, BMDL, AEthelmearc

I had the same problem with the small (locked and unlocked) forms from the
SCA.org site when I downloaded them yesterday (6/12/12). I fixed the unlocked
version for my uses, but wanted to report that the problem still exists.

Thanks!

Greetings one and all,

I am Ignacia la Ciega, of the Barony of Concordia of the Snows, in the East
Kingdom.

I am currently the Exchequer for the Barony, as well as the Deputy EK
Exchequer.

Heralds Point looks for exchequer volunteers each year for Pennsic.

This year I am in charge of the exchequer area of Heralds Point.

Are you are interested in donating some of your Pennsic time as an
exchequer?

If so, stop by Heralds Point and meet myself and some of the heralds, to see
if this appeals to you.

Everyone that volunteers there is pleasant and pretty cheerful, they are a
joy to work with.

I will have an Exchequer volunteer signup sheet to easily identify open
times.

Herald's Point is open starting on Wednesday of the Peace Week thru Friday
of War Week.

For the most part, we are looking for people from 11am to 5:30pm, some days
earlier and some days later.

Location is on the road between the Cooper's Store and EK Royal, on the hill
near the playground.

Yes, this was posted very close to Pennsic intentionally.

Yes, you may cross post to appropriate lists.

(keep in mind that all volunteers need to be current warranted exchequers).

Thank you all for your time and your service,

In Service,

Maestra Ignacia la Ciega

Greetings Mistress Glynyhvar,

I will verify that when I get to Pennsic (in just 2 more days).
It certainly sounds to me like it should count.
Please come by Herald's Point after you are settled in camp.
We can talk and look at the schedule for where you can help out.

The Kingdom of Aethelmearc finds itself in possession of a second Semi Trailer
used for storage at Pennsic. To remedy this, we are willing to sell the trailer
we currently have in the back lot at the Coopers. We are asking $1500.00 for
the trailer and are willing to part with it AT this Pennsic if there are any
interested in purchasing it. The new owner may take possession of the trailer
the weekend of Pennsic teardown. As a bonus, we will pay this year’s lot rent
of $200.00 for the Trailer and assist the new owner with setting up their rental
with the Coopers. The trailer has been inspected by Mr. Cooper and found to be
acceptable for storage and therefore the new owners do not need to recertify the
trailer for use.
Any interested parties can contact me via email or at Pennsic should see
Mistress Euriol at Aethelmearc Royal Encampment.
Thank you,

Does anyone have Bank deposit papers for running deposits into the bank during
the event or at the end of each gate shift? I mean the ones that say:
how many 1's, 5's,10's exc, and a space to write checks? Much like a business
uses?
Our bank doesn't use deposit slips any more and we need to track this.
thanks,

Artemisia and Atenveldt both have cash 'chain of custody' Excel forms on their
Exchequer's webpages. Take a look and see if you like it, or build them into
something else.

Out of curiosity why do you need to track how many of each type of bill you
deposit?

You could always just buy some deposit slips that have what you want just for
your use.

No harm in an overabundance of recordkeeping, if they want to do it.

You could easily set something up like this in Excel, Donwenna, if the
forms on the other kingdom's websites won't work for you.

I uploaded it to the files section of this group under "locally used event
forms".

Both the Event Steward and the Troll.Exchequer use it to count the cash box
funds before and after (or at the end of the day/shift) the event. It also notes
who left site with the funds. One copy is for the Event Steward  for their
files and one for the Exchequer.

It was intended to be used as a check and balance to partly satisfy SFP Sec
VIII, A 7  "methods for controlling cash receipts."

Hope it helps and feel free to adjust to your needs.

Ailesh

I know when making the deposits, the number of each denomination has been a
very beneficial piece of information.
