I wanted to send out an email letting everyone know that our January meeting has
been canceled.  Please take this time to rest because come February we are going
to be on the go until June!

Our next meeting will be February 3rd, 6:30pm at San Antonio College.  I will be
sending out reminder emails between now and then.

Thank you for your dedication and all of your hard work!  Wishing everyone a
safe holiday season!

We picked three bags and the Board will choose  the bag.  I talked with DIS and
they will donate things, not sure what yet, for the conference bags.  UTSA will
donate something too.  Molly is going to contact Vital Signs, Houston is going
to contact Texas Interpreters. We will contact Starbucks and CSD to see if they
will donate something.  Emily and Beatrice will go up and down the riverwalk
asking for coupons from restaurants and places there.

Supporting Deaf People online conference 2010

The seventh in the highly successful Supporting Deaf People online conference
series will take place between the 3-6th February, 2010

Up to 2.0 CEUs are available for this conference.

Hey, glad to see new members in our SARID groups!  j

Hi Christina,
 
I have a problem (again).  so sorry.   I hope the impact of my not being at the
Thursday night meeting will not be too great.  I have injections in my neck
approximately every 5-6 months.  The doctor that does this is in Houston.  I
have been waiting for over a month for an appointment.  He called this afternoon
and has an early Friday opening.  I have to drive to Houston early on Thursday
to have an office visit, ex-rays and an MRI before the injections.  I have three
(3) collasped verterbra and two bone spurs in my neck and have had these
injection hoping to stave off surgery.  The surgery will keep my down about 2
months.
 
Do you want my  proxy for voting on any issues.  I know we have things before
the board to vote on.  I can email a proxy on Wednesday.
 
Please remember to get a copy of Jean's TDL and I will get with you next week to
get all the information, a mail box key etc.  I really am sorry about this but
since I am looking for a job, I won't be able to take off once I begin work
again.
 
This has been a rough summer, with my Mother in the hospital, then my Daughter
in the hospital now I have to have some medical treatment.

Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is having a great summer!  We are having our next SARID meeting
next week Thursday, August 20th at 6:30pm.  During our last meeting the
membership voted to move the meeting from CSD to San Antonio College because we
have out grown the CSD meeting room.  I am sad to see us leave CSD since they
have provided us that room for years, but on the other hand am excited that we
are growing!  Our meeting will be in the Moody Learning Center room 524.

Sharon Nodine and I will be attending TSID board training this weekend and will
have a budget for the TSID 2010 conference to share with you all during the
meeting.  If you are a conference chair you NEED to be at the August 20th
meeting so that you know how much money you will have for your committee:)
