Welcome! SANE stands for San Antonio Nature Enthusiasts -- and we are, of course, homeschoolers! Why SANE well, most of the really clever acronyms were used up! AND it would be the most important part of any homeschool group staying SANE. So what is the point of this group? Currently we are meeting once a week month at various parks in San Antonio for a group nature walk and various activities throughout the year. During each week we are encouraging each family to take the nature challange using the Handbook of Nature Study. We are developing in to a small network of homeschool families that is Christ centered, fun and somewhat based on the Charlotte Mason method of learning. Nature study, discovery learning, the arts and creative activities are all part of what we do. This group is not intended to be a play group, exclusive to any curriculum users, or faith BUT the studies and activities will remain Christ centered and biblically based, and with a Charlotte Mason and Christian Classical flavor if that is OK with you than you are welcome.
