Removing one color in a graphic (making a decal)???   Message List

I recently found the following image, showing a really neat graphic on the side
of a Burlington Northern caboose (Unfortunately, since I can't find any other
pictures of this car, I don't know where this graphic appears on the caboose).

I was thinking that I'd place this image in a folder and print it the next time
I'm printing up a decal sheet and add it to my S-helper service caboose (12613 &
12615 are identical to the S-helper caboose, so I assume 12614 is as well).

When I print this decal, I was hoping to just print the black elements of the
graphic on a clear decal and then apply it to my BN car. In order to do this, I
have to remove all the non-black elements from the photo.

How would I strip the green color out of the picture so that I can just print
the black when I print this decal?


At the moment, I only have 'MS Paint'...

Hi Tyler; I'm pretty sure that the answer with Paint is that the only way is to painstakingly change each green pixel to white (in Zoom mode). Further problems...
