Saturday, March 7, 2009 - 2 p.m.

I will participate in a staged reading of Barbara Blatner's new short play "Guernica" at Abingdon Theatre as part of In Short Order II, a benefit reading.

The playwright describes "Guernica" as a short farce about war and art.  I will be reading the role of Colin Powell.

"Guernica" is one in a number of new works that will be read during the ninety-minute program.

Writers from Abingdon's Playwright Group have come together to support Abingdon in face of the current financial challenges. Playwrights are donating their talent, time and energy to organize, market and present readings of their scripts. The readings are open to all supporters of Abingdon and those participating in the readings themselves. Audience members will be asked to make a donation, 100% of which will go to support Abingdon Theatre Company.
