Hi Neighbor,
This community listserve supports a formal town Broadband Internet Committee. The goal: invite all interested on-line Royalston residents, to participate in ongoing conversations & discussions on bringing high speed broadband internet access to everyone.
No need to hold our breath. or good ideas, between meetings!
Here's how it works. An email message that you send to this address: RoyalstonBroadband@yahoogroups.com goes to all of the members. When you reply, your response is sent to, and read by, all the members.
Not to worry: you can choose to receive all messages: as sent; read exchanges online at a later time; or receive a summary of messages each day.
Note: Conversations on the list are limited to HIGH SPEED INTERNET ACCESS & could include: Examples of need for health and public safety access, government offices, security, family members at risk, education, business, Polls of members on ideas, strategies, choices options; Questions & suggestions, learning about alternative broadband resources and choices including, fiber optics, copper, DSL, Cable, T-1, satellite, wireless mesh, hybrid, power-line internet, surveys, GIS; sharing out-of-town technology resources: exploring funding & system ownership strategies, engineering reports etc. This listserve also allows for sharing & uploading files reports, suggested useful links, a database of resources, & a calendar to share Royalston Broadband activities in the community. When posting to these locations, please let the other members know.
IMPORTANT NOTE: THIS IS A MODERATED LIST, filtered for your initial sign-up. As a public forum, we need to ensure our safety & security. Tech savvy teenagers may very likely participate; therefore, decorum in the forum is expected. Inappropriate posts will be immediately removed, messages deleted, & you will be denied future access to the list.
Suggestion for good basic etiquette: Don't make comments on this list that your grandmother wouldn't want to read
