Fellow IFREP Members,

I consider it a distinct honor to have been chosen as IFREP chair for RY 2009 -
2010. As I start my term,
I would like to thank im mediate past chairperson Madu Bishnu (and her set of
officers) and congratulate her for a job well done. As I often said, she will be
a hard act to follow. For those who have sacrificed much of their time - Janie
Carlisle for our newsletter and Bob Sommerville for our website and numerous
others who have contributed towards the success of our fellowship, thank you so
much and please stay on as we try to make this RY as productive if not more
compared to the previous years.

I would like to request our members to become more active in terms of
information and ideas exchange,
contributions to our PEN newsletter and imparting to our own respective
districts and clubs the importance
of producing club newslettes, bulletins, etc. in whatever form that is
convenient ,affordable and preferred.
Having said that, may I also request that encourage our members to recruit the
editors and publishers in your
respective districts to similalrly to join our international fellowship. Let's
strive to help make our website a rich source of updated Rotary materials and
information for our members and more. In this regard, I wholeheartedly support
the proposal of Madu to charge a minimal membership fee at least to help support
our website and perhaps
some other activities which we may decide to undertake in the near future.

If there are other things and / or activities you would like to see in our
fellowship, please do post them so that
we can discuss further.

officers for RY 2009 - 2010 :
