This group is for people sincerely interested in a polyamorous, polyfidelitous (polyandrous or polygynous) relationship style (often shortened to just "poly" and universally meaning "responsible non-monogamy") and who live in NY along the Rt 90 "Thruway" corridor. Polyamory is the desire, practice, or acceptance of having more than one romantic, loving, intimate relationship at a time with the full knowledge and consent of everyone involved. The focus here is on the relationship, not the s*x. To be blunt, we are not what is classicly considered "swingers," as anonymity and casuality would be contrary to what we seek.

This group intends to be a contact point for a range of people from the "poly-curious" just starting out to the more "poly-experienced" or even polygamous/polyfidelitous who are bonded for life at this point. We all started different places, and some of us seek different destinations.

The group encourages conversation and involvement which may get heated. So please be kind, bring your compassion and sense of humor. We expect everyone here to be and act like adults: respectful passionate discussion of topics is great, but personal attacks will get you removed. Drooling will get you removed.

While we recognize that poly folks tend to be open minded in other ways, please note that this group is not for discussion of those issues. Thus, if you are Kinky/Gay/Wiccan/N*dist/Naturist/PurpleWithSpots, you are very welcome here -- but (completely) non-poly posts may be stopped by the moderators.
