Riverbend Garden is a secular, Waldorf-inspired homeschooling group in Fairfax County, Virginia. Our purpose is to provide support, encouragement and community to Northern Virginia, Washington D.C., and Maryland-area homeschoolers who are using or exploring Waldorf education methods. All who have a genuine interest in Waldorf ideas and applications are welcome. Experience with Waldorf methods is not necessary. Our members range from the very new to the very experienced in Waldorf-inspired homeschooling.

We offer weekly meetings for children's activities, occasional adult enrichment evenings, seasonal festival celebrations and occasional field trips. Depending on age, the children's activities offered include puppet plays, nature walks, circle games, crafts, storytelling, drawing, watercolor painting, form drawing, recorder, handwork, math games, bean bag games, jump rope games, drama, poetry recitation and others. We offer age appropriate activities for ages 3 to 14+.

To expedite the membership process, please state the age and gender of your children when making an inquiry. We review applications from families with at least one child age 3 or older. Sibilings under age 3 are always welcome.
