Description

This group is for discussing the options for cruising on small canal barge-hotels or larger river boats in France: where the cruises take place (Paris, Burgundy, Provence...), what time of year, what they are like, who usually takes this type of cruise and why, etc.

River and canal cruising lets you go with the flow and enjoy the region: the countryside, the sights, the wines, the cuisine and the local culture.

  • Small upscale and luxury barge-hotels and river cruise boats
  • Gourmet cuisine and regional wines with every meal
  • "Whatever-floats-your-boat" theme cruises: art, wine, golf, cuisine, families with children, etc.

With no need for hotel, restaurant or rental car reservations, you can just relax and enjoy the scenery. Since the price is all-inclusive - generally including all meals and tours - you won't have to worry about overspending. Whether you choose the intimate atmosphere of a barge or the cosmopolitan ambiance of a larger river cruise ship, you'll make new friends and see the best the region has to offer.
