This group is dedicated to the discussion of making and wearing Revolutionary War era costumes and clothing. (Costume:" 1. A style of dress, including garments, accessories, and hairstyle, especially as characteristic of a particular country, period, or people."-Websters)
Since I found few groups for this era, I encourage all who are interested in costuming for the purpose of war reenactment or historical interpretation to join us! Of specific interest will be patterns, fabrics, sewing methods, accessories and anything else related to making the costume feel like you are living a piece of history. All levels of experience encouraged --newbies to professionals. RevWar items for sale/barter/ wanted welcomed here. Sewing rev war for most here is a necessity, a journey, which may be sometimes bumpy, sometimes funny, sometimes rewarding, and always different from our modern confines. So if you are a living history reenactor, this group could be very helpful to you. Thanks for joining :)--Penny
