We are an interactive email group. We help those contemplating a search for information about their birthfamily, and/or reuniting with the family member(s) lost to adoption. We also offer support to those who have been reunited with a family member lost to adoption. Our group has helped with over 1,000 searches. We offer the emotional support needed during this time. We also offer search tips, advice, and even volunteers to help.

We are pleased to announce our support of the Minnesota Coalition for Adoption Reform (MCAR). MCAR is working to change Minnesota law to allow adult adoptees access to their original birth certificate. This is exciting news for us all. Come join us, and participate in this legislative effort.

You must be a birthparent, adult adoptee, birth sibling, birth family member, or an adoptive parent with a search or reunion based in Minnesota to join.

Minnesota law prevents us from helping to search for someone under the age of nineteen.

After you click the "join" button, you will receive an email from us with the words "membership application" in the subject line. This application is sent to the email address you choose to have your group emails sent to, be it a Yahoo account, or one of your own choosing. **PLEASE NOTE** you cannot receive this email if you set yourself to "no email" status. You must reply to this email within 14 days to have your membership request considered. If you do not reply, Yahoo Groups will automatically delete your request. If you do not receive this email within 24 hours of joining, please check your spam folder, as some email servers mark our email as spam.
