This Group is for people, from Australia or the rest of the world, who would like to both save and eventually restore the 1868 Ironclad HMVS Cerberus.
Currently a breakwater off Melbourne Victoria she is the only surviving Ironclad Breastwork Monitor in the world, The Blueprint for most of the worlds major Battleships C. 1870-1905, &, easily, the oldest surviving ship to have served in the Royal Australian Navy. Cerberus is listed as important by all Australian heritage agencies.
The group has an extensive list of Cerberus related links, including links to other historic restored warships around the world, pictures, etc.
The group is affiliated to, but not part of, Friends of the Cerberus.
