RenWars has been set up under the auspices of both the international Pike and Shot Society (www.pikeandshotsociety.org) and the US Renaissance Wargames Society (www.renaissancewargamesociety.com).

The Group, however, has an open membership and welcomes anyone with an interest in, or wishing to talk about any and all aspects of Military History, Warfare and Wargaming during the Early Modern and Renaissance eras (to us, very roughly 1400-1721).

There is no preference for any particular set of wargames rules and discussion is encouraged on any sets covering this era as well as any aspect of the military and naval history of it.
