I grew up in a conservative church that made it clear: Nothing is more important than a personal relationship with God! Sin was bad & hell was hot! I took it seriously - more than many of my peers. But, while many of them had their "rebellious years", -I never went thru that. I suppose you could say that my personal testimony is sorta dry compared to that of some others. However, despite my seriousness about my faith, -I had a problem that I thought for the longest time - literally had no solution & would ultimately make me one of the "worst sinners imaginable". You see, I'm a guy who loves guys. I've been in love several times & always in secret -feeling that I was doomed to live a life of lonliness or fall into sin if I let my feelings find open expression. In my emptyness, I searched & asked God all the favors like "changing me" or just letting me go to sleep some night & pass into eternity. I did lots of research about the "loud EX-GAY" groups, -but the more I discovered about their gigantic failure rates -the more depressed I became. I never turned to drugs or alcohol like some I've heard talk. Instead I tried to treat everyone decently & I've given literlly thousand$ to ministries that help people. But, in all that, my crisis remained. I thought for sure that I & those people who fell thru the "Ex-gay cracks" must be missing something in the Scripture - so I studied hard for well over a decade. I also began to study Law. A little more than 4 years ago, God gave me the solution. It addressed ALL of the "gay" Scriptures & was wayyy more comprehensive than anything I'd ever heard anywhere else. I've also discovered that at about the same time, a Hebrew Rabbi (a PhD!) -arrived at similar conclusions! My study was more complete, though -because I had use of the New Testament as well as the Old. However, what God showed me (& the Rabbi) was not what I was expecting!
