I think that the software was for
XP only so it not that surprising that it’s not working with VISTA the software
will need an update but I’m not sure if it’s available.

Just received the Radiocom 4.5 software. I am
using it with an Icom

So far I have been unable to get the software to function. I can hear
the usb make the connection but, it only holds for a milisecond or so
and then drops off. Is anyone using the softwear with a similar setup
that might could helpe me??

No, if you are using RadioCom 4.5IC. Works with RC 4.5UNI.
Check with radiocom@... directly, the US support center.

Hi
Back when I first bought my icom, I recieved a copy of Radiocom 4.5
(the pcr edition), and at the time, everything worked great.
Now, due to space constraints, I must leave my icom in one location,
and remotely control the radio from my computer.
Now, I still want to be able to decode stuff using the program, but in
order for me to start it up, I need to have my radio plugged in (it
checks the com port).
So, is there a way I can open up the program without having my radio
hooked up, and just use the sound on my sound card?
Thanks!
-Stephen
Hello everyone,
I am considering the Radiocom software, and would like to know if
anyone is using it together with the Kenwood TS480SAT for deconding
AND encoding?
In that case - how should it be connected - which pins on the pc
should be connected to which pins on the rig? I have looked at the
Bonito site but am not really able to find out how it should be.
Please help!

Hello everyone.
I was curious if anyone would be interested in taking over the
moderation duties of this group? Althougth there hasn't been much
activity here for some time, there continues to be quite a few members
(118 at last count) with active memberships. And though I still have
and use my PCR-1000, I have long abandoned using RadioCom some time ago.
Any takers?
Right hand click on the spectrum scope and follow the options.

First I want to say hi to everyone in the group.
I needed some help on this software. I've installed the sw and am
trying to use it with my PCR1K, but I'm having trouble. Specifically
I'm having trouble getting the frequency spectrum and signal meter to
work properly. I can tune the radio and can receive pretty good
signals, but the meter does not display and I show no result on the
frequency spectrum analyzer. I know there must be something simple I'm
doing wrong, but I just can seem to figure it out. I have read over
the manual, but it leaves a lot to be desired. If anyone has any tips
they would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Jr Bob D.
Just got a pcr-1000 and wanted to try the 4.5 version of the Bonito
software that came with the radio. It installs fine, but when I run
it, I get an error.
RC45.exe - Application Error
The instruction at "0x0041e68" referenced memory at "0x00000080". The
memory could not be "read"
It does this on both of my boxes. One is a P4-3.2HT running XP-SP2
and the other is a Centrino-1.6 laptop also running XP-SP2. It does
this regardless of whether the radio is on/off, connected to com1
directly or via another com port via a USB adapter.
Other software can talk to the radio just fine, so I know the radio is ok.
Anybody have any clues or help? Don't tell me to simply pay for an
upgrade as I'd like to see the program work at least once before I
shell out bucks for an upgrade.
Thanks
R
Cord,
Thanks for the reply. It was nice talking to you at Dayton on Saturday too.
Is there a better place for me to ask questions of Bonito rather than the
public place on Yahoo?

I forwarded your findings to BONITO for review.
They should be back in the office by Monday.

I bought an upgrade to RC at the Dayton Hamfest. v4.5 came with my Icom
PCR1000 and now I'm trying out v5.2.
One thing I noticed that after running RC, the PCR1000 no longer works
like it used to when I go back to running the stock Icom software. The
signal strengths on the scan scope are reduced by quite a bit and the
noise floor (on the scope) increased.
I had done a backup of the EEPROM in the PCR1000 before running RC. I
did a compare of the EEPROM data before and after using RC. RC is
definately making changes to the EEPROM. When I restored my PCR1000
EEPROM from an original backup, the radio started working ok again with
the stock Icom software.
Anyone else had this experience or know any more about what RC might be
doing?

I realize i've been a bit lax in approving people for the group, and
thought i'd send out a quick apology to all those whom have had to
wait for the approval.

a try with a JRC-525, what controls could you have on the radio?
(frequency, channels,bandwith, mode, etc...).
What are the strongest and weakness points of bonito radiocom to be
used as hobby freq. decoder and receiver controls ??
tnx all for your precious help !!

Tom-
hey ppl. Just wanted to post around at some of the places I know because I need to find a new man in my life. My last boyfriend just admited that he cheated on me so I've had enough with him and his sort. Looking for a good honest guy to show me a good time.
Just an FYI - I have set the group to membership approval for future
members. I saw another spam email come through today, and since I was
making changes to another group anyway, I just changed this group as
well.
Membership approval should be done immediately after a request has
been received.

Can anyone tell me if the latest version is worth its weight in
gold...I see a lot of questions on this subject and no replies...even
the franchise suppliers give no answers...Gf
Hey people! I am pretty new to the group and I don't mean to be annoying, but I wanted to let all of you know I finally got my webcam back. It took a while to repair, but everything is running great now, and the picture is crystal clear. The repair guy also told me that he added some new software to allow me to talk live to those watching me! So if any of you guys want to chat come try it out on my new homepage :)
go to www.bonito.net and go to 'Dealer' to check for your region.
or
check www.computer-int.com in the U.S.
