Information on modeling modern regional railroads (Class 2s) from all areas of the US, such as Iowa Interstate, Buffalo and Pittsburgh, Montana Rail Link, Wisconsin Central, and Arizona and California to name just a few, as well as modern short lines. These railroads often have much in common with one another, with their make-do attitudes reflected in interesting hand-me-down locomotive and rolling stock rosters, and are very attractive subjects for modeling in today's world of mega-railroads. Topics of discussion include modeling locomotives, facilities, structures, and rolling stock, as well as the building and operation of layouts based on regional and short line prototypes.
