I was taken by surprise with information given by my last guest, Dr. Tom Van Flandren, NASA Astronomer. During our interview yesterday, Tom disclosed for the first time revelations of planet Mars as a result of his ongoing research. Dr. Van Flandren now believes Mars may have been an amusement park for a highly evolved civilization.
Dr. Van Flandren stated yesterday " There may have been a civilization not endogenous to Mars they may have visited Mars as if it were an amusement park. We might have seen activities more like that of setting up and exhibit hall or museums. A type of theme park. This would have been seen from above in some type of hoover craft orbiting above as to give an overview of the complex".
Yes folks, my jaw dropped to. I was taken back while on air. As much as I may already stumble over my words, yesterday will have to be on ECTV bloopers. What Tom Van Flandern had to say seemed as if was right out of Erich von Daniken's "Chariots of the Gods?" Photos: http://www.kelt.com/hippo/travels/peru/nazca.html
In the interview we also discussed the idea of an increase of asteroids and comets coming into our solar system. Tom explains the were asteroids come from and how they come towards us. We also discussed the possibility of an impact in our life time. The answer was "it won't be the ones we can see". Great, now that's comforting... What he meant by this, we are only tracking the ones we can see. Many of the smaller asteroids are just too dark to pick up. But Tom did assure us, we are tracking all of the big guys that could end a civilizations. (at least he believes so).
Be sure and listen to our interview which will be up Monday on our audio archives page: http://www.earthchangestv.com/AudioCapture/index.htm
In other news...it has been a little too quite on the weather and solar fronts this week. Don't be surprised if we see a surge of activity in the next week. The Middle East continues to be a hot bed with recent escalation of violence. ECTV has a very close eye on the unfolding events.
The Vatican expressed its disgust with that news report stating Pope John Paul was going to retire. They were quick to dispel any rumors. However, it is unclear if the Pope is dissatisfied with current Vatican standings. Hmmm, you don't think he meant Fatima...do you!
And finally, here is an article by Dr. Sky on the current Orionid Meteor Shower...
One of the more interesting meteor showers of the year will take place during the period from October 19-22, 2000. This meteor shower is known as the Orionids! All of the meteors that you see from this shower are all particles from one of the most famous of all comets, Halley's Comet!
To see the Orionids, look to the East after midnight for the large and bright constellation of Orion the "Hunter." Then look to the left edge of Orion to find the very bright red star known as Betelgeuse. This is the general radiant of the shower. On a clear night, you should be able to see upwards of some 15 "Orionids" per hour. The radiant of the shower will be highest around 3AM local time. The best time to see this meteor shower, will be on the morning hours of October 21st.
Stay tuned To Earth Changes TV as we believe events will heat up in our world (and universe) from this point on. It is not that events have not already begun, it is believed by many disciplines, it will simply continue to elevate to a new something. I would like to call it, a new beginning. Perhaps a passage unto a new dimension, certainly, a new understanding...
Best Wishes,
Mitch Battros
