RMNEWS_DAILY_EMAILS : Message: MOUNTAIN SURVIVAL PLANNING TIPS

If you are making plans or considering getting out of dodge to the mountains here are some tips on planning:

Have ATLEAST 3-4 mountain plans. If you've never been to the mountain of your choice it may not be passable, or inhabited, let alone available to occupy. CHECK MAPS! Prepped is to be prudent. Do NOT plan to be by the Mexican border! Do NOT plan on just one mountain and just one plan to get to each! THINK!

Check & plan to use BACK ROADS. You will need to be sure NOT to travel by freeway. The MP will come by freeway. This is where searches will take place predominately.

RESEARCH the natural resources in the mountainous locationS you choose. Be sure you also check the elemental and natural history from the past few years, such as:

What type of weather patterns exist in the fall and winter there?
What edible animals do they have on the mountain? How would you hunt them?
ARE THERE ANY CAVERNS? (They will be great for extra protection and camouflage if they come by air. DO NOT ENTER TO DEEP OR YOU WILL HAVE A 'VISITOR' you can not expel.)
What types of plants are in this location?
Is there a lake, river, pond within 1-2 miles of set up? REMEMBER RIVERS RUN DOWN HILL. You don't want stagnate water if at all possible. This water will be for various uses.
Can you escape by boat or raft in this water?
What about brush around the water? [In the vision I had where I'm rounded up on a mountain some of the brethren escaped being rounded up by hiding in the boat behind the brush silently. (think of Moses here!)]
What insects are in this area?
What types of trees? (if need be, besides building, fishing, hunting, you can drink the bark juices.)
What is the soil ph?
DO NOT STAY ON SOMEONE ELSE'S PROPERTY!

USE the Bible for survival skills and tactics. The Bible is full of them!

RESEARCH FREE ENERGY. You can use energy without cost if you know how to do it!

YOU CAN SIPHON OFF THE WATER FROM THE WATER SOURCE TO TAKE SHOWERS. THEREFORE, TAKE SIPHONING HOSES. (atleast 6-8 ft long. You can always cut it.)

Bring plenty of rope! The rope and pocket knife are your friends in the wilderness! Your only going to be as successful as the sharpness of the knife and the strength and length of the rope-UNLESS God intervenes. If you do not have enough rope vine will work. Take snare wire (brass 2-3 ft) & Flexible saw. Take an oil lubricant! You'll need it!

If you're not in the South West or South East NOW is the time to buy a HEAVY coat,etc. You will be exposed for atleast a time so plan on ear muffs. If you are in the South West or South East do NOT move to far North! The further up you go the colder it will be, and the heavier the snow, less alone how long.

If you're doing this and your children are upset get them involved by having them create a "sit-a-pon." If you were a girl scout you may not what that is. If not ask me.

If we don't need to get out soon it will be soon enough.

REMEMBER SURVIVAL IS NOT SO MUCH AN ART AS IT IS COMMON SENSE...THINKING ABOUT WHAT IS AVAILABLE AROUND YOU AND HOW TO USE IT EFFECTIVELY FOR YOUR OWN SURVIVAL! SURVIVAL IS NOT LIKE "GILIGAN'S ISLAND!" BELIEVE ME THE BIBLE WILL BE A VERY EFFECTIVE SURVIVAL TOOL, AND I DON'T MEAN JUST SPIRITUAL.
