This eGroup is for all mainstream libertarians and small government conservatives who live in New York City. The goal of this group in to advance an agenda of limited government, free markets, and individual freedom. The focus of this group are the five counties of New York City: New York, Queens, Kings, Richmond, and the Bronx.

The objective of this group is to influence public policy by formulating and implementing tactics that will lead to the group's goals, to exchange information and ideas, and to to begin to establish the personal relationships that are essential if we are to advance our agenda.

It is envisioned that we will use many of the tactics that have been so successful for MoveOn.org -- coordinated letter writing to the local and regional press to influence public opinion, lobbying our legislators at the national, state, and local levels in support of, and opposition to, pending legislation, and to support candidates in primary and general elections who share our values.
