Description
This is a mail list where we can freely share and communicate with
other members who have Rhode Island and/or New england Genealogical, Ancestor, and/or Historical interests, announce meetings/reunions, discuss cemetery clean-ups, customs, traditional foods common to Rhode island, announce family research sites
It is permissable to discuss Genealogy and Historical information about other New England states
Most any topic about Rhode Island, New England, and/or Genealogy/History is OK
The Rhode Island Ancestors Group is made up of persons who have Rhode Island and New England ancestors, they are well versed in Rhode Island/New England Genealogy, History, and Customs
They are here to help each other, help newbies, help anybody involved in Genealogy in Rhode Island/New England
This is the same group of persons who were so helpful to others on the RIGENWEB list until they were driven away by the current mail list administrator
*******************************************************************
There are to be no political or religious discussions, they can cause too many problems
No flaming
If you have complaints about something posted do not send your complaints to the list, send them to me, I will handle it
Try to stay on topic, I try to ignore off topic discussions unless they get out of hand
Although it is permissable to post anything about Rhode Island and New England Genealogy, History, Customs, foods, etc..., we do have a "sister" list commonly refered to as "the fun list" where you may post anything you wish, nothing is "off topic" on that list
You will find it at the following URL
