The REACH group would like to invite you to attend
our Homeschool Formal/Prom that we put on each year
for homeschoolers in VA, MD and DC....Read below for
all the details... You are welcome to share this with
other homeschoolers or groups.

IT is that time again to start thinking about the
Homeschool Formal/Prom that will take place in May at
the Great Wolf Lodge in Williamsburg...This will be
REACH's 12th Formal event since we started doing them
in 2000.... The date of the event is May 15th, 2012
from 5:30-10:30pm...This is for teens 13 and
up....(Mature 12 is fine) Each year this event sells
out so make sure to RSVP early for this event...(Feel
free to share this with other groups)

Also once you have rsvp'd to attend I will send you
the Codes at GWL if you want to stay there during
this event - room rates are $139.00 plus tax per night.

The REACH Formal is 5 hrs long and includes dancing,
food, cake, door prizes, dj, Senior recognition, Prom
king and queen, final prize 1 day free stay at GWL
and more.....

A REACH photographer will be on hand to take pictures
as well....

Early bird pricing - now to Feb 15th - tickets are 48.00
Feb 16th to April 1st the cost is $58.00
April 2nd to May 5th the cost is $68.00

This event will take place at the GWL Ballroom...

IF YOU ARE A SENIOR I NEED TO KNOW WHEN YOU PAY FOR
YOUR TICKET I HAVE TO MAKE SURE THAT I HAVE ENOUGH GIFT
ITEMS FOR THE SENIOR.

DRESS CODE:
Girls - no midriff or cleavage showing - no low cut
dress or low to the back, no short skirts, no tight
fitting dresses, spagetti straps are fine - IF THE
DRESS HAS NO STRAPS YOU WILL NEED TO WEAR A WRAP OR
A SWEATER. THIS RULE WILL BE ENFORCED....
(it is easy to put straps in on a dress).....

Boys - no T-shirts or hats, khakis are fine, dress
sunday is fine. No tennis shoes. Blazer or sport
jackets are fine. Tie is optional. 3 pc suits are
optional.

I am taking 25 Chaperones for this event - NO COST TO
CHAPERONE. 10 spaces are left

RECAP and RULES:
1. Teens ages 13 and upto a Senior can attend.
Mature 12 is fine......
2. If you are a homeschooler you can bring a friend
that is not homeschooled with you - they also pay the
same rate that you do.....
3. If you are Senior I need to know so that I have enough
gifts to give out for the Seniors.
4. Food available - yes - finger sandwiches, chips, dips,
punch, water, cake and etc..... Lots to eat.
5. Photographer on site - yes, will have photo package
for you.
6. Time of Formal - 5:30-10:30pm - 5 hrs.
7. Do I need my invitation to get in - YES - but if you
should forget it we will have a master list. All teens
get to keep their invitations.
8. What about Dress code: See above for that one.
9. Once you arrive at the FORMAL you cannot leave unless
a parent comes and gets you or you have a note to leave
early.
10. Also if you are taking someone's teen home I need a
note from the parent giving you permission for them to
leave with you.
11. We do the 2 strike warning - 1st strike we warn you
and 2nd strike parent is called to come and take you
home. I have never had to do this yet.
12. Door prizes - lots of them.
13. Music - all music is upbeat and clean.
14. King and Queen - Yes, each year the teens choose
their PROM King and Queen. They will be crowned at the
event.
15. Make your checks payable to REACH - No refunds on
this event.

WELCOME TO SELL YOUR TICKETS TO ANOTHER HOMESCHOOLER......

I need you to send me a 9x12 manilla env with postage
so I can return to you the permission form, your
invitation, and the picture package for prom pictures.
(You can send me postage stamps and what I don't
use I will send back to you)

PERMISSION FORMS NEED TO BE RETURNED TO ME BY THE
DEADLINE ON THE FORM ONCE YOU RECEIVE IT FROM ME -
PLEASE MAKE SURE TO NOTE IF YOU ARE A SENIOR.
