Effective November 2008, RAWSISTAZ Online Book Club now only accepts new members by invite only.

About Us: RAWSISTAZ was founded in September 2000 and focuses on reading, writing, and discussing books primarily by African American Authors. Though part of a large group, we love our fellow members and consider RAWSISTAZ a big family of women who not only love to read, but who also support each other in our collective and individual efforts.

In addition we have a group of reviewers called The RAWSISTAZ Reviewers who specialize in reviewing books by and about African-Americans and a literary hang-out for literary lovers called RAW4ALL.

Check out our website and yearly literary event, The RAWSISTAZ Affair. RAWSISTAZ is not only a book club, but our website and other features are resources for readers, writers, and anyone interested in the African-American Literary community.
