here is the interface I used, it requires no serial
port connections, it uses audio to switch the radio
from receive to transmit. a usb with internal soundcard
is also available.

If you want to receive the signals you do not need
an interface, just place a pc mic close to the
speaker on your hf radio and that will be fine to
copy psk31 signals.
