*NEW LIST*WELCOME* RAD_FASDkids is a group that offers support and helps to educate parents dealing with children diagnosed with (RAD) Reactive Attachment Disorder and/or FASD. When you are dealing with one, you may be dealing with the other.
FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders) includes the following:
FAS - pFAS - ARND and ARBD. FAE is an older term, no longer used.
It is encouraged to use the more specific terms as listed above.

A few of the many child development issues you may also find
yourself dealing with are; behavioral, learning, neurological, developmental, academic, physical, sensory integration, psychological, psychiatric, emotional, educational, medication, services and laws regarding your child.

RAD_FASD MODERATORS are Elaine Thomas and Shar. Each brings a variety of experiences and knowledge to the group. We are adoptive parents of children diagnosed with FASD and RAD. Elaine lost her brother Raymond, diagnosed with FAS, to a tragic end and promotes FASD Awareness in his name.

Carol Echternach who sadly passed away July 7, 2006 is the original founder of this list. Carol was a dedicated person whose intelligence, insightfulness, humor, and genuine concern for others, gave this group the spirit that it has today. She had a great love for her family and a great passion for her work in the FASD and RAD communities. We will continue to honor Carol by keeping this group active.
