Welcome to the Radio Amateurs of Canada national ARES* Emergency Coordinator mutual support group and source of information for RAC SECs, DECs,ECs, STMs and CECs. It is _restricted_ to those personnel. AECs who are RAC members may join this Group IF recommended by their EC who must also be a member here. SMs are also invited. Certified Emergency Coordinators who are RAC members and RAC Section Traffic Managers are also eligible for membership.
IF APPLYING TO JOIN, INDICATE YOUR QUALIFICATIONS FOR MEMBERSHIP, NAME, CALL SIGN AND FIELD SERVICES INVOLVEMENT, IN THE COMMENTS AREA.
PLEASE NOTE: everyone appointed to an ARES/NTS position must be and remain a current member of RAC. RAC Appointees here must meet this obligation or remove themselves from the list.
This group is set up to provide and share information with and among SECs, DECs, ECs and STMs of the RAC Field Organisation's ARES/NTS across Canada.
Please keep your unit volunteers advised of proceedings here; encourage input from them and present it in this forum. To preserve the integrity of the Group and to abide by Yahoo rules, please do NOT copy or forward messages posted herein verbatim without permission of all involved.
This Group is not a complaints department. Constructive discussion and viable suggestions in support of the ARES/NTS, along with detailed plans on how to accomplish those suggestions, are encouraged in the spirit of common purpose. Please keep all discussion on a business level.
The Group is unmoderated other than to gently channel discussion. It also is used by the VPFS to provide information. Hopefully, Group members themselves will moderate for the common good, alleviating the need for other measures. Disagree without being disagreeable.
Thank you for your support and participation!
