Welcome to Quilts For Breast Cancer. We are a group of volunteers who stitch cross stitch squares to make quilts for people who are breast cancer survivors or who are currently suffering with this disease.
The group was started in September 2007 to raise money for breast cancer research by making quilts to sell. In January 2008 a very good friend was diagnosed with this disease and the idea was formed to make quilts for people who have had or are currently dealing with breast cancer. Requests are accepted for both female and male themed quilts since this disease can affect anyone.
In 2008 there were 24 finished quilts sent to recipients. These quilts were possible due to the stitchers, quilters and donations of fabric and money by our members. Thank you. Without this help the group would not be able to bring joy to so many people.
We are always looking for dedicated cross stitchers and quilters to join the group.
