Welcome to Quilts for Cancer.

We are a group of volunteers who stitch cross stitch squares or create quilt-as-you-go blocks in order to make quilts for people and families of those who are cancer sufferers or survivors. This group started in November 2009 because the founder was an active member of Quilts for Breast Cancer and searching for other types of quilts for cancer groups on Yahoo, found only a reference to the QBC group. Breast cancer had yet to directly touch the life of the founder but she lost her grandmother to lung cancer and her aunt to lymphoma and her brother-in-law was diagnosed with testicular cancer.

Because there are lots of cancers and they are all capable of doing immeasurable hurt, it was decided to create a group that would compassionately and lovingly recognize any kind of cancer.

We are always looking for giving cross stitchers and quilters to join the group.
