If you're tempted to save money by making your own hexagons, be my guest -- the inevitable variations between hand-cut templates add up to aggravating differences between finished hexagons that you're trying to stitch together and you'll soon be ready to order Pati's originals! I tried making my own (while I was waiting for my first order) from paper and from plastic, and tried another commercial product as well. The tiny differences in size drove me crazy! Pati's die-cut patis are truly easy to use and well worth the money.
