Hello dancers!
I had a great time at the dance on Saturday night. I really enjoyed the calling
of Steve Howland, and the music by First Time String Band was fantastic (as
always!).It was nice to dance with so many familiar faces and for new folks to
show up too!

I would like to thank:
The people who helped set up and break down. Many hands make light work.
Susan Oliver for coordinating the bands and callers. Great job, Sue!!
John Vester for taking over the cash box.
Mickey, for being our doorkeeper for many years !
Dave Cannell and Marc Scrivener for being the new guardians of the Sign and the
Fans. (People showed up asking about the dance, before we got the sign up. I
guess people do take notice)
Nancy and Barry, for their ongoing support.
Diane Bradley, who coordinated the Silent Auction and Tag Sale, which raised
almost $200 for QCCD.

Our new season is due to start Saturday October 3rd, first Saturday of the
month, October to June. In the meantime, remember the following dances are
there for you:

Mystic, the 4th Saturday of the month. Frohsinn Hall, Greenmanville Rd.
Wethersfield, the 2nd Saturday of the month (I think)-- American Legion Hall.
Brown University -- I think the 1st and 3rd Fridays.
Wesleyan in Middletown --(I'm not sure if they continue through the summer)
