Queer Progressive Muslims is an email discussion group for Progressive Muslims who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT). Progressive Muslims define Islam as an evolving faith that fully embraces and accepts our multiple identities including our sexual orientation, gender identity, and our faith. Challenges facing LGBT Muslims, challenges facing the progressive Muslim ideology, unity, collective consciousness around issues of multiple oppressions including racism, sexism, classism, homophobia, etc will also be discussed in this forum. Together as Queer Progressive Muslims we can create real social change for both the wider LGBT community and the Muslim Ummah as well.
