The Quarter Century Wireless Association was founded in 1947 to provide an organization for the pioneers of the hobby to gather. QCWA Promotes friendship and cooperation among Amateur Radio operators who were licensed at least a quarter century ago, and are licensed today.
More on our history can be found on other pages on this site. More than 30,000 membership numbers have been assigned over the years by Headquarters. Although the majority of these amateurs live in the United States, our membership stretches around the world.
Activities within QCWA range from the local -- belonging to or organizing a Chapter in your area. Local chapters are involved with all areas of Amateur Radio. -- to the national, when we meet for a National Convention each year in October -- to the international, during our two QSO Parties.
This group is provided by Chapter 49 Peach State - Atlanta, GA
Chapter 49’s membership base now extends well beyond the metro-Atlanta area. We have grown into a strong, active, and viable radio club. Chapter 49 regularly has: two (2) weekly nets (SSB and FM), quarterly membership meetings, and quarterly newsletters. Chapter 49 also has a reputation and image for being actively involved in and supporting various metro-Atlanta amateur radio activities.
