Description

This list is for FELV and FIV positive cat info on rescue, transport,rehoming and medical questions. FELV and FIV positive cats can live long and happy lives, and many groups are now adopting them into wonderful forever homes. This list will be moderated to keep on track, but any breed of cat is welcome if they have tested positve. ALL POSTS MUST INCLUDE THE LOCATION FIRST.

Please don't judge this book by its title. It is full of extremely useful information to help FIV+ cats live long, healthy lives. Cecelia

She actually was tested with the Western Blot during the time that she was in the hospital, but I do want to have her retested again in the next couple of

she needs to be retested using the western blot--ELISA tests are much less reliable for FIV than they are for FeLV, and as most FIVs are boys, it's even more

for whatever reasons--and i am NOT a scientist, tho the longer i try to figure out cat viruses, the more i wish i were--neither the antigen (FeLV) nor antibody
