A quest to explore worship and theological patterns in Anglican and other Reformation faiths. We look at the 1552, 1559, 1662 and 1928 Book of Common Prayer as foils for larger discussions. Exploratory, academic. We have well-heeled and trained contributors. We have Anglicans, Lutherans, Presbyterians, Baptists, and a few charismatics. A files section for resources is under construction. We continue with the "The Order for Daily Morning Prayer" although orbital reformational and biblical inquiries are on-going. This forum discusses the Bible, prayer, theology, history, and related disciplines of music and literature. Forays into historic confessions shall continue: Thirty-nine Articles, Formula of Concord, Augsburg Confession, Heidelberg Catechism, Belgic Confession, Canons of Dordt, Westminster Confession of Faith, and the London Confession of Faith. Reformational, classical, reformed, catholic, protestant, kind unless provoked, and careful. Sola Scriptura sed non nuda. Respect shall be enforced. With no interest in Anglicanizing anyone, we are here to explore "how one approaches our Sovereign God in good sense, good order, and wisdom." We work in pan-Protestant directions without calling for diminution of historic constituencies. We support the Protestant Alliance at www.reformer.org.
We have added other foci: Biblical Introduction, The Thirty-nine Articles, the English Reformation, Oxford Movement, Prayers of the Bible, Vatican One, CALENDAR, We are anticipating the publication of our first work here at Cambridge Academy, The English Reformation: Letters of the Reformers. A Protestant "Tracts for our Times" may well be in the offing.
We invite your attention to: www.groups.yahoo.com/group/Romans_Galatians. We use Calvin, Luther, Stott, Cranfield, Fitzmeyer, Murray, Pelagius, Chyrsostom, H.G.C.Moule, Bp. Lightfoot, Hodge, Lloyd-Jones, Hendriksen, Stoeckhardt, Haldane, Brown, Haldane--for starters. Greek, Latin, German and English with commentary.
