Description

This unique group was created to foster a deeper and wider understanding of Bible truth. Unlike other Bible study groups, membership in this one is subject to the applicant's agreement with 3 prerequisites. These prerequisites are put in place so that discussions will stay within a framework of certain truths held in common to keep the list interesting, helpful and informative. If you are considering membership, you don't have to fully understand each prerequisite. Rather, you need only to agree that discussions will remain within the parameters of these prerequisites.

1-The Bible is the only authority in matters of faith and doctrine.

2-There are five essential Bible doctrines:
(a)Salvation through faith alone in Jesus Christ
(b)Soul sleep, that is,when a person dies he does not go to
Heaven or Hell. Rather, he awaits resurrection
(c)The perpetuity of the 10 Commandments, including the fourth commandment which declares the 7th day of the week to be God's holy day
(d)God's use of parallel temples, the one on Earth was a shadow of the reality in Heaven
(e)Jesus promised to return to Earth and take the saints to His Father's house. There will be ONE gathering of all the saints at the Second Coming.

3-There are four rules that govern apocalyptic interpretation:
(a)Each apocalyptic prophecy has a beginning and ending point in time and the events occur in their given order. (b)A fulfillment only occurs when ALL of the specifications given in a prophecy are met and this includes the order
of events stated within the prophecy.
(c)Apocalyptic language can be literal, symbolic and analagous. To reach the intended meaning of the prophecy, the student must consider:
(1)the context
(2)the use of parallel language used elsewhere in the Bible
(3)if a prophetic element is thought to be symbolic, then relevant Scripture must interpret the symbol.
(d)The presence or absence of the Jubilee Calendar determines how God measures time in apocalyptic prophecy
