Prince George’s County, Maryland…The Prince George’s County Police Department’s Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Unit are investigating a pedestrian accident that occurred in Suitland, Maryland.
On February 27, 2009, at approximately 4:29 p.m., officers responded to
Pennsylvania Avenue and Silver Hill Road for the report of a pedestrian
accident. When officers arrived, they found a child suffering from
injuries lying in the roadway. Preliminary reports suggest the child
attempted to cross the busy intersection when he was struck by a
motorist. The motorist remained on scene. The child was transported
to a nearby hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
The
child did not possess any identification and the Prince George’s County
Police Department’s Collision Analysis Unit needs help in locating his
parents. He is described as a black male having an approximate age
ranging between 10-12 years old, 5’1” in height, and weighing 90
pounds. He was dressed in a gray hooded sweat shirt with a black
T-Shirt underneath having an image of President Obama playing
basketball on the front and back. The child was also wearing dark blue
slacks and black Nike Air tennis shoes.
