Description

The goal of Portage-Kalamazoo Freecycle™ is to reduce waste by connecting individuals to gift usable items. Whether you're looking to discard or acquire an item, PKF is the place to do it by gifting furniture, clothing, computers, and everything in between. No money, trading, borrowing, politics or religion. Just acts of kindness.

Gifting makes people feel good

"Keep It Free, Legal, Appropriate For All Ages"

You must begin your Subject Line with one of these topics:
Offer, Want, Pending (or PPU), Taken, or Praise (or Thank you) followed by a short description of the gift(s). Praise posts should mention the gifter(s) in the subject line.

Keep your requests reasonable.

In the body of your post describe the item(s).

When making an offer to the list please be sure to include your approximate location or nearby intersection for the pick up. This helps people to decide if they will respond.

Posts that are on the same topic in the same time frame must be combined into 1 post.

Please don't post to the entire list when you are actually trying to send a message to just one member. If you have lost an email try to search in the message base or ask in email to the list owner address below.

As you use this list, put yourself in the position of the other members when posting and picking up.

Responses to posts only go to the poster, not the entire group. Arrangements for the pick up are done in private email.

It is your stuff to give away as you see fit. If you can, wait for more than the first responder because some of the neediest people might not be monitoring their email constantly throughout the day. Choose the receiver as you like.

No "curb alerts". Arrange pickup with one person only rather than "whoever gets here first gets it" type posts.
