Playwrights Cafe is a theatre writing group that meets monthly in Berkeley, California. This discussion group, however, is for all San Francisco Bay Area (the nine counties) playwrights regardless of affiliation with Playwrights Cafe. Discussion topics may include the craft of play writing, contests, development opportunities, theatres, and grants. Self producing and success stories of getting produced are welcome. This forum also encourages script exchange. You can also seek or provide help with problems of plotting, character etc. Here you can announce productions of your work. Comments and questions on agents and publishing are helpful. You can also seek others interested in getting together to see plays. Your posts will be read by other playwrights, so advertising your play here is not useful. It can get lonely in front of that screen! We're here to help!
